Groupe CH president Margaret Belanger pointed out to the Radio-Canada channel on Monday that the number 31 is somehow pleading ignorance that Tuesday marks exactly 33 years since the tragedy that claimed the lives of 14 women.
Price has found himself in the hot seat since speaking out against the federal government’s Bill C-21.
“He was not aware of the tragic events of December 6, 1989, or the coalition’s recent marketing efforts,” Ms. Bélanger told the state-owned company.
On Saturday, the British Columbian athlete posted a message on his Instagram in of the Canadian Coalition for Gun Rights, along with a photo of everyone in hunting gear and guns in hand.
“I love my family, I love my country, I care about my neighbors. I am not a criminal or a threat to society. That [le premier ministre] What Justin Trudeau is trying to do is unfair. I the alliance to keep my hunting gear,” he wrote.
Filed in the spring, Bill C-21 could modify the definition of assault weapons by including many weapons used by hunters.
