The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. in a road work zone on Highway 30 east of Brossard.According to preliminary information gathered by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the driver of the heavy truck did not slow down when approaching the work zone located on Grande-Allée Boulevard. A 42-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy died while a 55-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were seriously injured. We fear for their lives.Eight people were injured in the clashes, all of whom were taken to hospital. The lorry driver was treated for the shock.
